Since its founding in 1988, translation agency Das Wort has translated a wide variety of texts - books, newspaper articles and exhibition catalogues as well as contracts, advertising brochures, websites, film scripts and film and television programmes - from British and American English and Dutch into German.
Our customers include book publishers, museums, cultural institutions and media and business enterprises - among others DuMont, Taschen, Cantz, Kiepenheuer & Witsch, Bertelsmann, S. Fischer, dtv, and Rowohlt publishing companies, the Museum het Rembrandthuis (Amsterdam), Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der BRD (Bonn), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), Inter Nationes (Bonn), Kunstmuseum Bonn, Feminale, WDR, stern-tv, Bayer AG, Diebels AG, Stiftung Museum Schloss Moyland. On behalf of other translation agencies we have also done work for the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum (Cologne) and the Cologne Philharmonic as well as for the website for the America's Cup 2000 and the UEFA-Website for EURO 2000.
Translations from other languages or from German into various foreign languages can also be arranged with our colleagues and qualified native speaker translators. We gained much useful experience in this field during the three years when our agency organized the translation and editing of Japan Echo, the magazine of the Japanese Embassy in Germany.
